Rob is a qualified mining engineer with over 40 years’ experience operating and managing coal and metal mines across US, Australia, and South America. Rob was the former Group Executive, Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer of Peabody Energy Australia and has operated various large scale, open cut mining operations. Rob has also held Chief Operating Officer positions at Coal and Allied in the Hunter Valley and for Peabody Energy Australia. Rob has extensive experience in the acquisition and integration of purchased mines as well as new project start-ups.
John has over 15 years managerial experience within the energy and resources sector, specialising in Corporate Mergers and Acquisition (M&A). Prior experience includes: Director Mergers and Acquisitions, Peabody Energy Australia, where he negotiated managed over $5 Billion in M&A Deals. As well as the Director Merger and Acquisitions, for InterGen global power producer primarily focused on coal fired generation.
Wayne has over 25 years of experience in the energy, resources and mining sector. A Chartered Accountant and Fellow Certified Practising Accountant, Wayne has worked extensively in finance, taxation, treasury, corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He was the former Deputy General Manager and Chief Financial Officer with ITOCHU Minerals & Energy of Australia and has also held senior finance positions with Energex and Ergon Energy prior to joining Itochu.
Jarred Stanes is an experienced mining professional with a career spanning operational and technical management roles across some of Australia’s largest resource companies. He has held key management positions at BHP, Anglo American, and Centennial Coal, gaining deep expertise in both site-based operations and corporate technical functions. Jarred’s background includes overseeing mining production, engineering, and technical services, as well as leading multidisciplinary teams in challenging environments. He holds two engineering degrees and an MBA from UNSW, and is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Registered Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). In addition to his operational work, Jarred has experience in business development, having worked with Mastermyne on growth and acquisition opportunities. He is known for his hands-on leadership style, practical problem-solving, and ability to build alignment between site teams and corporate objectives. Jarred brings a passion for the mining industry and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in all aspects of operations.
Mat Lynch is a CFA Charterholder, geologist and experienced mining executive with over 20 years in finance and major mining projects globally. As Chief Commercial Officer at Mayfair Corporations Group, he is responsible for commercial strategy, evaluating mining and energy M&A opportunities, deal execution, and securing funding arrangements.
Previously, Mat led the A$1B development of the Olive Downs Complex with responsibilities including coal marketing, project feasibility, major contract negotiation and debt financing. Mat has overseen mining asset valuations exceeding $10B in coal, manganese, aluminium, gold and electricity. He holds degrees in Geoscience and International Finance, a Master of Applied Science in Structural Geology, and was awarded the Geological Society of Australia’s Gold Medal.
